"Amazon Web Services Startup Day Bangladesh 2023" was held for the first time in Bangladesh. The day-long program on Thursday had a hands-on training on how to transform a startup design into a billion-dollar company using the Amazon Web Services platform.
Daffodil International University (DIU), Knowledge Valley and Bangladesh Venture Capital in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) organized this event for the first time in Bangladesh. The strategic partners of this event were Idea Design Entrepreneurship Academy and Aspire to Innovate (a2i), Global Entrepreneurship Network, XLBC Level Consulting, Bangladesh Computer Association, and Bangladesh Innovation Forum.
The day-long event was inaugurated by Daffodil International University (DIU) founder and chairman of Daffodil family Dr. Md. Sabur Khan. In the opening ceremony, the chief executive officer of the daffodil family Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman delivered his welcome speech.
During the inauguration, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said, to develop a world-class unicorn or to establish a million or billion dollar-company without maintaining the process flow or the right architect, our young stars sometimes fall flat on their faces due to the use of data base and not using security complacence. Our initiative is to overcome that situation. Because to make a business sustainable one has to change the innovation track constantly which many of our entrepreneurs don't know. That is why we have arranged hands-on training by bringing internationally renowned experts from different countries to train new startups. Bangladesh did not have this kind of hands-on training before. Amazon Web Services is directly supporting this. Here, 150 startups will learn hands-on and at least 30 of them will get $10,000 credit facility from AWS.
The day-long event provided participants with hands-on workshops, insights into building next-generation unicorn startups, and various sessions conducted by internationally and locally recognized professionals/trainers from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to learn about AWS Career Programs, opportunities are created for networking with industry experts.
The most interesting aspect of the event was the presence of more than 10 internationally recognized speakers and trainers from home and abroad who conducted hands-on workshops.
Also, all the participants present a presentation and from there the winners were declared based on the verdict of the judges and attractive prizes were arranged for the winners. Moreover, Bangladesh Venture Capital will finance the projects of successful startups from here in the future.
